In loving memory of our darling little boy
CONNER ALAN NORTHEY
Born 17th September 1998
Died 30th September 1998
aged 13 days
Our little boy Conner entered the world a day after his due date on 17th September 1998. He weighed 9lb 3oz and was such a good little baby. He was the image of his Daddy but had his Mummy's little button nose. At 2 days old we were allowed to take Conner home and he carried on being good and looking gorgeous!
He became unwell after a week but we were told not to worry about him. When he didn't pick up after another couple of days we took him to the doctors and he sent Conner into hospital.
Conner had lots of tests done and we were told he had meningitis and a brain injury which they thought had happened through birth. We were told he was very very poorly and the vicar came to baptise him in hospital. He was put on a ventilator and moved to intensive care. 24 hours later he died.
We will never ever forget you Conner. You touched our lives for only a short time but our hearts forever. Love and miss you so much.

TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING
THROUGH THE DESERT
DURING SOME POINT OF THE
JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN
ARGUMENT; AND ONE FRIEND
SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE
IN THE FACE
THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED
WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT
SAYING ANYTHING,
WROTE IN THE SAND
'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE'
THEY KEPT ON WALKING,
UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,
WHERE THEY DECIDED
TO TAKE A BATH
THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN
SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE! AND STARTED DROWNING,
BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.
AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM
THE NEAR DROWNING,
HE WROTE ON A STONE:
'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SAVED MY LIFE'
THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED
AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND
ASKED HIM, 'AFTER I HURT YOU,
YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,
YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?'
THE FRIEND REPLIED
'WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US
WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN
IN SAND, WHERE WINDS OF
FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.
BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES
SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,
WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE
WHERE NO WIND
CAN EVER ERASE IT'
LEARN TO WRITE
YOUR HURTS IN
THE SAND AND TO
CARVE YOUR
BENEFITS IN STONE.
